About me

Hey there. I’m Indira and I live in Georgetown, Guyana with my husband (and devoted recipe sampler), Rabin. I love food and anything related to it, so feel free to hop up on my virtual kitchen counter and keep me company!

  1. Congrats on starting the Blog, Indira! Combining your warm writing style with your love of food will surely make for interesting reads as often as you post. Looking forward to your adventures (and free samples 🙂 ).

  2. It’s ridiculous how good I’ve gotten at washing dishes! But it’s so worth it as part of our deal in keeping with the title of this blog. Your cooking is always one of the highlights of my day. I’m sure this blog will be a useful insight and fun reading for anyone wanting to have a similar culinary adventure like the one you’re taking us on.

  3. Hi Indy,
Randomly came across your blog – found the title peculiar but interesting …brought a smile to my face. I would love to follow you on “culinary adventure” as Rabin put it…lol and feel free to send samples my way 🙂

  4. You’re building a lovely blog Indy! The name of your blog happens to be one of my [and husband’s] “unofficial” wedding vows [28 years ago!]. So ironic 🙂 I look forward to viewing your future posts as what I see here so far looks great!

  5. Hi there! Nice to meet you , indira. Incidentally you and I share the same name although my friends and family mostly call me ‘Indu’. Like the title of your blog! That’s what I would like my husband to do too but unfortunately he loves to cook too! 🙂

  6. What a welcome surprise!!!!!, I’m so happy and proud of Indra (Repsol joke). After months of sitting next to you and seeing you read all those cook books and noticing all those different lunch variations I must say im very happy with this Blog. I do hope this is just the first step in the line of bigger and better things. Great start again and I can’t wait for illcookyouPay

    • Thanks Kepler! I burst out laughing at the Indra comment AND your proposed restaurant name LOL…the ground floor crew has always been so encouraging and its really great to hear your positive comments 🙂

  7. Hello Indira, just stumbled on your blog and i know I’m gonna love it. I recently joined the blogging world (as recently as last week), and am excited at the prospect of getting my creative juices flowing. I love the fact that we can connect with folks around the world with similar interests.

    • Hi Loretta! welcome to the blogging world! I only started blogging in February and I’ve really loved every minute of it. It requires commitment for sure, but I’ve made so many great friends since I started that I can’t remember what my life was without it! Thanks for stopping by 🙂

  9. Hi Indira,

I absolutely love following you, and definitely love the name of this blog. If you’re up for it I’d like to feature you in my upcoming blog tour. Unsure what a blog tour is? Kitchen Getaway just featured me in hers here: http://kitchengetaway.com/blog-tour/ and I’m looking forward to carrying it on.

If you’re ok with it I would list you as one of my three featured bloggers on my blog (http://dinnerdaydreams.wordpress.com/). The following week you would choose three other bloggers to feature on your own tour.

If you’re interested just let me know and I can send along additional instructions!

      • Great! Sorry for my delayed response I’ve been traveling for work. Below are more detailed directions, let me know if you have any questions.

        Step 1:
Say a little something about how you’re involved in the tour and link to the blog post that featured you last week.

        Step 2:
        Answer the following 4 questions:
        1. What am I working on?
        2. How does my work differ than others of its genre?
        3. Why do I write what I do?
        4. How does my writing process work?

        Step 3:
Say who is next week (your 3 picks) and give a little bio/shout out with a link to their website.

If you could share with me a favorite recipe that you’ve written about so far I’d love to include that! My email is dinnerdaydreams@gmail.com I’ll send you a link when mine is posted 🙂

  10. I just wanted to check in let you know that I plan on posting the tour post at the end of this week. If you’re able to share a favorite recipe and link to it that I can include in my tour that would be great!
